Leaving already?
Don't forget to get your 7 stories in 7 days delivered to your inbox
and see for yourself what learning Spanish with Stories can do for you.
Or a Friday at noon, because your favourite yoga class is at that time.
Or a Wednesday at 5 pm, because you daughter has ballet and your son has rugby.
Or an evening? Too tired to even think. So forget Spanish class.
It’s just very difficult to fit everything in as is, without having to commit to another activity, even if it’s exactly what you need right now because getting by in English is not longer an option.
So the next best option for you was to:
Until you realise that the cute notebook and the special pen that you bought to motivate you do Spanish on your own is already part of the kitchen counter clutter.
What if I told you that you can still learn Spanish on your own, but with guidance from an actual person?
Go as fast or slow as you want, because this membership is built around three pillars:
Stories that you'll understand and are clearly sequenced to bring you from the very beginning of Spanish to an Intermediate Advanced level.
Through the TPRS* techique called Circling, you'll be asked questions within the videos for you to answer in simple phrases, giving you enough input, speaking practice and repetitions in each session.
Log in whenever you have 15 minutes here or there. You're in control of when and for how long you do it.
And if you can't make one of the weekly live lessons, you'll have it recorded to watch at your own convenience.
*Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling
TPRS stands for Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling and it’s the method I use in every class I teach, and it’s the engine that makes you understand and thus learn Spanish effortlessly.
The objective?
That you speak Spanish accurately, fluently and with loads of confidence.
I’ve taught Spanish to expats in Madrid for years, and since I started teaching with TPRS, I haven’t looked back to more traditional methodologies. Stories are how I teach, so stories are what’s inside this membership.
But I want to be upfront about something, because it’s one of the best parts:
You’ll learn from a team of teachers, all trained in TPRS — not only me.
That’s on purpose, because your ears need to get comfortable with more than one
long before real-life Spanish throws three of them at you at once on a Saturday night in Madrid: the Spanish, the Argentinian and the Venezuelan (plus many more…).
A team of teachers trained in the same method can give you all that range.
Spanish with Stories is built in cooperation with Didáctica de ELE, a respected name in TPRS teaching for Spanish.
What that means for you: this is a proven, structured way of teaching Spanish, used by teachers all over the world.
Once you join, you get access to the whole video library of Spanish with Stories, along with the transcripts, interactive readings, one live session with me per week to practice in real time.
Also, you get access to a community to ask questions, and get support and encouragement from me and other members.
It works on a subscription basis, where you pay the same amount monthly until you cancel.
responsible for any additional bank fees you may incur.
You can access the part of the first story of Level 1 or the first story of Level 2 for free.
If you want to try the limited scope first, just sign up here: https://speakspanish.jimenaibarra.com/spanishwithstories-free
You won’t be able to attend the live sessions while you’re on the free version.
If you want to continue with the rest of the stories, you’ll have to subscribe at the current full monthly price (€50).
Absolutely!
This is a full Spanish course in video format, and as such it has a clear sequence.
It is also divided in three levels: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
As of August of 2026, Levels 1 and 2 (Beginners and Intermediate) are fully operational. Level 3 is still a work in progress, but you can expect a new video every 2 weeks.
Every week there will be one live session on Zoom (online) per level: one for those doing the stories of Level 1 and one for those doing the stories of Level 2.
These sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the course. This way, you can watch them in case you couldn’t attend.
The days and times, as well as the Zoom link will be shared once you join.
You can cancel anytime from your personal dashboard on the platform.
Heads up that you won’t be reimbursed what you’ve already paid and you’ll still have access to the course until the end of your paying period.
After that, you won’t be charged anything else.
You can only pay by bank card with Stripe with recurring payments, so that you don’t forget and I don’t have to chase you.
Please note that I’m not responsible for any additional bank fees you may incur.
As little or as much as you need. I recommend doing it 15 minutes per day, but it depends entirely on you and your lifestyle.
What I’m certain of is this: you set your own timetable to do it at your own conveniniece.
And that is priceless.
Your Spanish doesn’t need a free Tuesday night. It just needs a story and 15 minutes.
Safe payment with debit or credit card through Stripe. Terms and Conditions apply, as well as my Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.
