These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and participation in the Real Life Spanish Immersive Activities (hereinafter “the Activities”) offered by Jimena Ibarra (hereinafter “Jimena Ibarra”), operating under the website jimenaibarra.com.
By completing a booking and making payment, the participant (hereinafter “the Client”) expressly accepts these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

Each activity is a complete three-stage experience designed to help expats living in Madrid use and practise real-life Spanish in an immersive, supportive setting. The full experience comprises:
Each activity is limited to a maximum of 10 participants to ensure quality and active participation.
The exact venue(s) and Zoom links for each activity will be communicated to the Client by email once their reservation has been confirmed.
Note: Some activities are designed for absolute beginners, while others require a basic level of conversational Spanish. The required level will be clearly stated on each individual activity listing before purchase.
Prices for the Activities start at €120 per activity. The final price depends on the specific activity chosen and will be clearly displayed on the booking page before purchase.
All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and include:
Payment is processed securely via Stripe, which accepts debit and credit cards. By completing a payment, the Client confirms that they are authorised to use the payment method provided.
Payment in cash is not accepted.
Reservations are only confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Jimena Ibarra reserves the right to release a reserved spot if payment is not completed within the specified timeframe.
Upon successful payment, the Client will receive a confirmation email containing the details of both online sessions and the location of the in-person activity.
If the confirmation email is not received within 24 hours of payment, the Client should contact Jimena Ibarra directly at info@jimenaibarra.com, attaching proof of payment, and Jimena Ibarra will resend the information.
The following cancellation policy applies:
14 or more days before the activity: The Client is entitled to a full refund of 100% of the amount paid.
Between 7 and 13 days before the activity: The Client is entitled to a refund of 50% of the amount paid.
Less than 7 days before the activity: No refund will be issued. However, in the case of a genuine emergency occurring less than 7 days before the activity, the Client may contact Jimena Ibarra directly. Upon presentation of supporting documentation (proof of emergency), Jimena Ibarra may, at her sole discretion, issue a full refund or transfer the booking to a future activity.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@jimenaibarra.com, stating the booking details and the reason for cancellation.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed through the original payment method (Stripe) within 48 hours.
Jimena Ibarra reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an activity in exceptional circumstances (e.g., insufficient enrolment, force majeure, illness, or other circumstances beyond Jimena Ibarra’s control). In such cases, the Client will be offered:
Jimena Ibarra will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Client (such as travel expenses) in connection with a cancellation by Jimena Ibarra.
Clients who are currently enrolled in a course with Jimena Ibarra may be entitled to a heavily discounted rate (up to 80% off the standard price) or, in some cases, may access specific activities as part of their course.
Discount eligibility is determined by Jimena Ibarra on the nature of the activity basis. Students should contact Jimena Ibarra directly at info@jimenaibarra.com prior to booking to receive their personalised access details or discount code.
No discount will be applied retroactively after a booking has been completed at the standard price.
By registering for an activity, the Client confirms that they:
Jimena Ibarra reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive or disrespectful, without entitlement to a refund.
Note regarding inclusivity: Most activities are designed with expat women in mind; however, certain activities are open to all genders. Each activity listing will clearly indicate who the activity is open to.
The two online group sessions (Prep and Story) are an integral part of the service and are included in the price. They are not optional. No discount will be applied if a Client chooses not to attend one or both sessions.
The Client is responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and the necessary device to participate in Zoom sessions. Technical difficulties on the Client’s side do not constitute grounds for a refund.
Zoom session dates and times will be communicated in the booking confirmation email.
All content, materials, and resources provided during the Activities — including written materials, vocabulary sheets, stories, and session recordings (if any) — are the intellectual property of Jimena Ibarra and are provided solely for the personal, non-commercial use of the registered participant.
The Client may not reproduce, distribute, share, or commercially exploit any such content without the prior written consent of Jimena Ibarra.
Jimena Ibarra will make every reasonable effort to deliver the Activities as described. However, Jimena Ibarra shall not be liable for:
The Client participates in in-person activities at their own risk and is responsible for ensuring they are in adequate health to attend.
Jimena Ibarra processes personal data in accordance with applicable Spanish and European Union data protection legislation (Reglamento General de Protección de Datos – RGPD / GDPR). These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Spain.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the courts of Madrid, Spain, which the parties agree shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection legislation applicable to the Client provides otherwise.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Jimena Ibarra reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on the website and will take effect immediately upon publication.
The Terms and Conditions applicable at the time of booking will govern each individual transaction.
